On all levels, all our French courses offer you: Development of grammatical skills, improvement of vocabulary, oral expression, comprehension, reading and practice of written language

With interactive lessons, topical teaching material and creative teaching methods our French courses are designed to encourage discussion in French from the beginning.

You have the possibility to achieve personal, professional or academic goals, individualize your courses or fulfill requirements for University entrance and immerse yourself in the French language and culture.

FOR ALL OUR COURSES:
-
1 lesson 45 minutes, except one-to-one courses: 1 lesson 60 minutes
-Courses starting dates: every Monday throughout the year (except for complete beginners).
-Special starting dates for complete beginners: 1st Monday of every month or other dates on request
-All courses start on Mondays, during 5 days, until Friday
-A maximum of 12 students per group
-A written entrance test takes place on the first Monday morning
-Books and teaching material are provided by the school
-Minimum age: 18 years old
-You will receive a certificate (min participation 75% of the courses) at the end of your stay.
-A seasonal surcharge might apply depending on the starting date of the courses
-Our language school is closed on the following public holidays in 2013: January  1st, April 1st, May 1st, May 8th, May 9th, May 20th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th, December 25th.  The lessons of these days will not be rescheduled

  • Standard Course

    The standard course is a perfect combination of making good progress in learning the French language and taking the time to enjoy your free time and the possibility to take part in the various activities. Four daily lessons guarantee effective learning.

    In these courses we put the emphasis on the speaking ability of the students. Grammar and vocabulary will be taught in a context, with an approach to French mentality and culture. Role plays, games and active group discussions referring to actual topics from newspapers and magazines adapted to the groups’ level makes learning interesting. With these focused group discussions you will make quick progress in oral expression and comprehension.  You will also improve your writing skills.

    Course structure
    The 4 daily lessons are structured as follows:
    1 lesson - grammar and general vocabulary exercises
    1 lesson - conversation
    2 lessons - reading, understanding texts, listening, writing
    The course structure may vary depending on the individual teachers and students.

  • Intensive Course

    An accelerated program of six daily lessons guarantees great progress in a short time. 10 lessons more than the standard course devoted to the practical application of your knowledge, an approach to cultural, social, political and economic life in France.

    Grammar and vocabulary will be taught in a context, referring to actual topics from newspapers and magazines. Role plays and targeted group discussions, according to your level, about: opinion polls, literature, leisure, history, theatre, music...

    • 6 lessons per day, each of 45 minutes, 5 course days per week

    • Levels: basic, intermediate, advanced
    • Groups of maximum 12 students
    • Books and teaching material are provided by the school

    • Specific starting dates for beginner students, 1th Monday of each month or other dates on request
    • Minimum age: 18 years old

    The 6 daily lessons are structured as follows:
    2 lessons - grammar and general vocabulary exercises
    2 lessons - conversation
    2 lessons - reading, understanding texts, listening, writing
    The course structure may vary depending on the individual teachers and students. 

  • One-to-One Course

    Achieve fast results and boost your language and cultural skills or develop your practice in a specific field of interest for personal, professional or academic reasons.

    This course gives more personal attention to learn the French language in an effective way and is focused on objectives with your particular purpose. You decide the number of daily lessons: two, four or six. All aspects of the language are taught in a short time. (conversation, writing, listening, phonetics)

    If you wish to learn French for career purposes we offer special tailored courses to meet your expectations. Six daily lessons guarantee effective progress in a short period of time. We recommend to take one-to-one courses as an eventual complement to standard or exam preparation courses.

    Options:

    business and commerce, tourism, banking and insurance, hotel trade, law, science and medicine, media and public relations, translation, interpretation, multilingual.

    You can individualize your courses and for example prepare a lecture or interview, or for medical or legal jargon. In this case, you should inform us in advance so everything can be performed as desired. The costs may increase slightly, compared with the normal form of individual lessons.

    Course structure

    The program of the course depends on your professional, academic or personal requirements. Therefore the individual lessons are structured in a different way than the standard or intensive courses.

  • Exam preparation course: D.E.L.F – D.A.L.F –A level- CFTH-CPFCE-MATURA -CCIP

    The French University Preparation Course is a semi-intensive language course which focuses on preparing the students for the official “Diplôme d'Etudes de la Langue Française” examination.

    Completing an exam preparation course can help students obtaining important qualifications, preparing internationally recognized exams or preparing the exams for those who hope to gain a place at university.

    In a competitive world, good qualifications are increasingly important and a high command of a foreign language is an enormous advantage when it comes to impressing future employers.

    At the moment the D.E.L.F (levels 1 and 2) examination is the only official examination, for French as a foreign language, which is officially recognized by the French Ministery of Education for academic and professional purposes. The diploma has been accepted by more than 150 countries and is widely recognized by administrations and firms.

    The modular system based on 4 units, which can be presented and completed independently, ensures the best possible assessment of a candidate's linguistic skills. The 4 units square with the level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

    Examination fees are not included in the course price.

    • Duration: 8-12-24-36 weeks (average of 12 weeks)
    • 20 lessons per week(4 lessons per day), including specific exam preparation
    • Or 30(6 lessons per day) lessons per week, including specific exam preparation
    • Option to sit an entry exam at the Universitiy in Nice
    • Levels: intermediate, advanced DELF Exam Preparation Course
    • Minimum age: 18 years old

    Provisory Exam dates for 2013:

    March 13, 14, 15. Mai 27, 28, 29. June 26, 27, 28. July 24, 25, 26. September 25, 26, 27. November 12, 13, 14. December 11, 12, 13.

    Course structure

    A complete approach to the main aspects of the French language: grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening comprehension, standard of written and oral expression, knowledge of French culture and civilization.

    Our teachers will put emphasis on the exam preparation: exercises with the structure of the exam, familiarize with the different aspects of the exam, gain confidence in speaking.

    The exact course structure may vary depending on the individual teachers and students, according to the exam requirements.

    D.A.L.F ( Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française)
    The DALF C1 corresponds to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and certifies an independent language user. This diploma allows entrance into a French University and exempts you from taking another language test.

    DALF Examination takes place at the University in Nice

    The DALF Preparation course covers the 4 tested language competences :

    listening, reading, speaking and writing.
