Nice is the capital of the French Riviera and the fifth largest city in France which attracts over 4 million visitors per year. Located in the heart of the world’s most highly prized regions, at the gateway to major European cities, it offers a rich history and a wonderful mid sunny climate. Ideally situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps, it is also only 30 kilometers away from the Italian border and at a 2 hours ferry trip from Corsica.

Nice is rich in architectural style and culture. Its magnificent scenes and beauty have long been an inspiration for many artists and musicians like Matisse, Chagall, Berlioz and Verdi.

The palm trees, grand hotels, restaurants, café’s golden sunshine, the beaches of the Mediterranean, the many ruins, museums, boutiques, Venetian-style squares, markets and attractive cafes make Nice one of the most beautiful and popular destinations in the world.  Nature lovers should also go on an excursion into the beautiful countryside.

The attraction of Nice lies in the sheer range of activities it makes possible. Rollerblade along the famous boulevard “Promenade des Anglais” in the morning, take in a museum in the early afternoon, stop for flowers, fresh fruit, or candies on the Cours Saleya on the way to the beach, dine in the warm open air until late into the evening. Nice is also a great base to explore other towns of the region. Visit the beautiful town of Antibes, the wealthy glittering resort of Cannes and the romantic principality of Monaco. Nice is, quite simply, an unforgettable experience.
